With diamond painting, the possibilities are endless. To help you choose between all options, we crafted this selection guide for you. Not sure what size to choose? Here are our recommendations, but remember that a larger painting always results in a better image quality. Simple image 15x20 cm 30x40 cm Your design is pixelated into diamonds. A larger canvas size means more diamonds and results in a better resolution. For each diamond painting, we hand-picked the available sizes, such that you always have a sufficient quality. Our small options are great to try diamond painting for the first time, while the bigger canvasses will make for great art in your home. To ensure the perfect photo ratio, please note that the exact dimensions of your diamond painting picture will slightly vary by ± 2 cm. For example, a photo with aspect ratio 3:4 is suitable for 30x40cm or 39x52cm (instead of 40x50cm). By default, all our kits come with square diamonds. We also offer round diamonds with some designs; if so, you will see this option. What shape to choose and what's the difference? Square diamonds fully fill your canvas, because you place them edge to edge. While Dippin square diamonds is not difficult, it does require some accuracy. Their size is 2.5x2.5mm, giving a slightly higher resolution that round diamonds. Square diamonds are chosen by most diamond painters. Round diamonds are also placed against each other, but will leave little gaps between the round edges. Their diameter is 2.8mm, making them slightly larger than square diamonds. They require less accuracy when Dippin, making them perfect to get started with diamond painting.
